The Challenge

As a national leader in engineered plastics and metal tooling solutions, Gemini Group needed a website that highlighted their numerous offerings in a professional yet simplified way. Their current B2B website was disorganized, with each business unit having its own “microsite” filled with unnecessary information, making it challenging for visitors to find what they were looking for. The website also did a poor job of communicating the company’s size, experience, and capabilities. Gemini Group asked Bop Design to create a new B2B website that would streamline information with a better user experience (UX) and showcase their expertise across multiple industries, including automotive, agriculture, and consumer products.

The Solution

Our first order of business was to restructure the entire site with an intuitive navigation and architecture to improve user experience, remove redundancies, and make information easy to find. We focused on clarifying and organizing their many service offerings, creating paths to subpages that allow users to easily drill down into the details of each solution without feeling overwhelmed. Our design team created bold graphics with subtle movement to capture attention and increase user engagement. Gemini Group was also looking to expand their team, so we built out a robust Careers section that highlighted the firm’s core values, staff benefits, and employee testimonials. The new B2B website design was also optimized for mobile use and faster load times.

Results 

The redesigned B2B website has dramatically improved the user experience, allowing current and potential clients to quickly navigate Gemini Group’s complex offerings. Early metrics show a monumental rise of 73% in average engagement time, demonstrating that the upgraded site is resonating with visitors and keeping them on the site longer. The website also saw significant improvements in user activity and direct searches. Most importantly, the new website now reflects Gemini Group’s size, capabilities, and position as an innovative leader in the plastics and metal tooling industry.
