Challenge/Situation
Olberding has worked with some of the most recognized brands in the consumer packaged goods space, including P&G, Kroger, Kimberly-Clark, and Hershey. The family-owned company had a unique challenge: they operated three separate businesses, each serving a unique need in the brand packaging space. Olberding needed a total of four websites – one for each business and one for the parent company. The team wanted each site to have its unique identity while also maintaining a cohesive aesthetic and user experience across brands.
Solution
The Bop team devised a design and messaging strategy that was carried across all the individual businesses while giving each its own personality. Each brand’s capabilities and strengths are now clearly articulated through a design that expertly blends both traditional and modern elements. Bold product photography is featured throughout the online portfolios, showcasing Olberding’s stunning work. Our team also incorporated an element on each website that cross-promotes the other businesses, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the additional services Olberding provides in the CPG space.
Results
Three months after the new family of websites launched, page views doubled and the average duration per session went up by 67%. Organic search also increased 32% while the bounce rate decreased 20%. Even better, the Olberding family and leadership team are thrilled with their new brand presence and think the websites represent their culture and values.
